It’s All About The Blackbirds!
As promised in my last post, this one it’s all about the blackbirds! The blackbirds are around all the time. Sometimes they come “asking” for mealworms or fat pellets. This means they either chook lots if you’re not noticing them or they sit in the garden looking at me when I’m in the kitchen getting a drink or cooking dinner! As you can probably guess they always get something!
The last few weeks have been hectic in the garden with lots of birds everywhere, and I love watching them! They are eating there way through lots of bird food and it’s not properly winter yet. The squirrels have of course been around either searching in the pots for “buried treasure” or raiding the bird food!
This is my last journal post of 2016 as it’s going to be busy for now on until the end of the year. It will return in the new year in a new style. I always like to try new things! Thank you for all your comments and taking the time to read my journal this year :)

Enjoy the rest of 2016 and any holidays that you’re celebrating. Have fun catching up with nature if you’ve not had much time recently. Natasha :)
As always a beautiful layout and interesting journaling you seem to have plenty of birds still visiting your garden Natasha there are not as many where we live. …I think the mild weather is still encouraging some plants to flower we have the wild marigolds and last year they flowered all through the winter…. Thank you for all your Journals this year .. Merry Christmas to you both……Maryxx
Thank you Mary :) I’m sorry to hear you don’t have many birds at the moment. I’m sure if the weather turns colder they’ll be flocking in. I think the flowers are all a bit topsy-turvy! Both of you too have a wonderful Christmas, Natasha :)
Fab post – what a great way to finish the year Natasha :)
I adore Steves photos – your Blackbird is a handsome chap.
Our pair are still bickering – ‘she’ still seems to have the ump with him and chasing him about…
Then will sit nicely together if I throw them some food.
Wow your Forsythias are early – the only colour we have is the abutilon and fuchsias.
Will look forward to catching up with whats been happening at the Brambles next year xxx
Thank you Gill, I adore Steve’s photos too :) It sounds like blackbirds are being blackbirds! I’m not quite sure what’s up with the flowers and my garden but it is nice so see some in bloom. I’m looking forward to an exciting year at The Brambles :)
