September in the Garden

Hi :) As September in the Garden continues, the flowers are still flowering and the insects still visit. However, these are both getting less in number. The leaves are dropping, but this has yet to pick up its pace.

It was great to have some perfect weather for getting out in the garden to start the tidy up before the winter. Still a bit to do, but it’s looking so much tidier already.

I finally got around to catching up from the week before the one just ended. Too much time spent in the garden rather than blogging it!

  1. You have such beautiful Dahlias, I love the colours Natasha. I do hope the little greenfinch loses that tick on his head, I have seen a lot of hoverfly’s this year on the lavender, there seems to be more of them than wasps. I think Autumn has got off to a great start, it has been Sunny here though the nights are starting to get chilly now. I do like Autumn with all the beautiful colours that come on the trees. I look forward to your next episode of the Brambles.

  2. Thank you Mary :) This year the wasps have been very late. I’ve seen a few in the garden over the last couple of weeks, but not many before then at all. There has been various types of hoverfly and quite a few here too. Lasts weeks update should be published in the next day or so, I’m catching up :)
