Winter in the Garden

Hello, and welcome to the new style journal for The Brambles. I’m really excited by this new magazine format. It’s been in my head for so long, and now finally it’s here :)

I started working on the style and the best way to share back in December last year. Progress has been a little slower than I hoped as I came down with the cough/cold thing that’s been circulating. Finally getting rid of it now!

January has been busy in the garden, with lots of visits from hungry birds. They are always such a pleasure to watch. Find out all about winter in the garden below :)

To view the magazine larger click on the Fullscreen icon bottom  right on the magazine viewer. To exit from full screen click on the icon again.

It took me a while to find the most suitable magazine viewer for my purposes. If you find it’s not compatible with your browser, please try a different one. I have seen some intermittent issues with Chrome. You can also view this month’s journal in Ficker: The Brambles Journal January 2017

This month’s magazine was created with a mix of wonderful graphics by DaisyTrail, and commercial use graphics and fonts available from Design Cuts. A special mention for the super blackbirds on page 9, which were created by my amazing crafting friend Gill. I also used a couple of flower graphics I found on Reusable Art. All the photos are by Steve and me and the text and poem are my own.
